Bhubaneswar: Southwest Monsoon is still weak in the state. As the monsoon season ends on September 30, the weather is favorable for the return of monsoon air from Odisha. According to weather experts, Monsoon may leave the state by the end of the first week of October or the beginning of the second week.
On the other hand, rains continued in some parts of the state despite monsoon being weak. Odisha received an average of 1.1 mm in the last 24 hours. Rain has been recorded. Maximum 45 mm in Banki-Dampada block of Cuttack district. It has rained. Similarly, 12 blocks have recorded more than 10 mm of rain.
District-wise average rainfall is 9.5 mm in Cuttack, 6.3 mm in Puri, 4.9 mm in Gajapati, 2.9 mm in Khurda, 2.5 mm in Dhenkanal, 2.4 mm in Koraput. and 1.9 mm in Malkangiri. It has rained.
Between September 1 and 29, the state received a total of 316.2 mm. Rain has been recorded. The normal average rainfall during this period is 233.4 mm. In comparison, it is 35.5 percent more than SRC's office informed.
Meanwhile, yellow warning has been issued to 14 districts of the state for the next 24 hours. Lightening and thundershowers may occur in some areas of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda and Niagarh. So while the weather is favorable for the departure of Monsoon, in the next 24 hours there is a warning of rain and thunder in some areas.
