Cuttack: Came for treatment, died in hospital. A serious complaint has been raised regarding the death of a patient in the psychiatric department of Cuttack SCB Medical Centre. The family has alleged that the patient's death was caused by the security guards and attendants. A written notice has been given to the police station on Tuesday.
According to the complaint, Srikanth Das of Jajpur Road area was admitted to SCB Medical Center for psychiatric treatment. On the 28th, he was admitted to the psychiatric department for treatment.
According to the family's complaint, Srikanth was beaten up by some security guards and attendants of the department last night. It is alleged that the family outside saw this and repeatedly requested them, but their words were not heard.
After some time, the family went to Srikanth and learned that he had died. The family also claimed that there were marks of beatings on the body. The family of the deceased has filed a written complaint at the Marsalbag police station. The post-mortem process will be videographed.
